Cooking Classes in Napa Valley
Hands-On Cooking Classes in The Heart of Napa Valley

We create private cooking events for groups from 2-10* which include instruction booklets with recipes and techniques to prepare your personalized menu.  This entitles you to a hands-on class with your chefs  in the preparation of your meal followed by enjoying  the fruits of your labor.  All of this, plus the key ingredient of fun led by Chef DJ and Chef Kent, in a great kitchen.   The full experience is $250 per person, all inclusive. Read testimonials from a few of our previous clients about their experiences cooking with us. Click here to see the article about us in Conde Nast Traveler.

*Groups over 10 cost is slightly higher

The grapes are quietly fermenting around the valley and crowds are slowing down.  What a great time of the year to visit Napa Valley.  Plan a cooking event in the wine country to round out your experience.  Plan your holiday celebration at Cooks and Books and Corks for a unique party.

Private Class/Dinners,
 and
 Team Building Events
 also available.

Cooks and Books and Corks is our labor of love. We have been evolving for  eighteen years and truly love what we do. Food is our passion and in classes and private events as well as parties, quality is first and foremost. With great discretion we choose ingredients based on quality and seasonality.  We are blessed to have the opportunity to work together in an endeavor that we so enjoy.

It is with this enthusiasm that we welcome you to our gallery of culinary events and online store. Go to the merchandise icon to view our quality selection of knives, gourmet and healthy cookware, handcrafted wooden salt boxes, and to shop.  There is nothing like a new piece of kitchen ware to get the creative juices flowing!  Great gift ideas for the chef in your life that will satisfy them with continued pleasure for you. View events that we have recently added, under the artisan food workshops icon.

Note From DJ

The holidays are over, January brought much needed rain and spring is just around the corner.  The valley is awash in bright yellow mustard blooms which makes it look like the sun is shining even when its raining!  See our Celebration of Mustard in Napa Valley class under the Parties icon for a seasonal class offering.  This is the perfect time to visit the valley, beautiful weather, no crowds, and fresh new ingredients to cook with!

We are still at the salami & sausage making as well as cheesemaking.  We have ten pounds of Soppresatta-style salami hanging in the aging cabinet as well as two wheels of Colby and we just wrapped a batch of Saint Maure goat cheese!

If you are planning a trip to Napa Valley be sure to book accommodations early.  Ask for our list of preferred accommodations to make your reservation process easy.   We also have great connections to pass on for complete itinerary planning, from accommodations to transportation, dining and winery visits.

We are booking events months in advance and enjoying all of you who attend, some from close by and many from far away.  It is so rewarding to welcome guests into our valley and share a culinary experience while they learn about cooking and we learn about different cultures.  We would love to have you come for a cooking event just for the fun of it or to celebrate a special occasion.  This is a great venue for corporate team building events.
