Cooking Classes in Napa Valley
Hands-On Cooking Classes in The Heart of Napa Valley
We create private cooking events
for groups from 2-10* which include instruction and hands-on
involvement in the preparation, the fruits of your labor
served to you, and recipes to take with you so you can recreate them
at home. All of this, plus the key ingredient of fun led by
Chef DJ and Chef Kent, either in your own kitchen or at a local
winery kitchen. Read testimonials from a
few of our previous clients about their experiences cooking
with us.
*Groups over 10 cost is slightly higher
The grapes are quietly being
bottled around the valley and crowds are few. What a great time
of the year to visit Napa Valley. Plan a cooking event in the
wine country to round out your experience.
Private Class/Dinners,
and
Team Building Events
also available.
Cooks and Books and Corks
is our labor of love. We have been evolving for sixteen years
and truly love what we do. Food is our passion and in classes
and private events, quality is first and
foremost. With great discretion we choose ingredients based on
quality and seasonality.
We are blessed to have the opportunity to work together in an endeavor
that we so enjoy.
It is with this enthusiasm that we welcome you to
our gallery of culinary events and online store. Go to the merchandise
icon to view our quality selection of knives and cookware and to shop.
There is nothing like a new piece of kitchen ware to get the
creative juices flowing! View events that we have recently
added, under the artisan food workshops icon.

Spring
is definitely here, I have planted the garden and begun the task
of spring maintenance. There are sixty-two stairs from
where the bark and gravel are delivered to where they need to be
taken and spread. You should see the muscles we are
building!
We
have begun a new hobby that is turning into quite the endeavor
and is so fulfilling. We are making cheese, cow milk and
goat milk with a special batch of sheep milk donated by our
friend Janelle at Kuleto Estate. We have a round of cheddar and a round
of Monterey Jack waxed and aging as well as Ricotta Salata,
Roquefort, and two goat cheeses. We are aging them in a
wine cabinet from the old store that we put together in the room
under the house by the garden. We'll keep you posted as
the tasting begins! A cow may be in our future the way we
are going through milk. I wonder how Zander would like a
cow in his yard?
If
you are planning a trip to Napa Valley be sure to book
accommodations early. Ask for our list of preferred
accommodations to make your reservation process easy. We also have great connections to
pass on for touring companies.
We are booking events months in advance and enjoying all of you
who attend, some from close by and many from far away. It
is so rewarding to welcome guests into our valley and share a
culinary experience while they learn about cooking and we learn about different
cultures. We would love to have you come for a cooking
event just for the fun of it or to celebrate a special
occasion. This is a great venue for corporate team
building events.
